Curry has recently been investigated often due to properties that have been conferred. Curry is known to have components that allow to treat diseases such as arthritis or diabetes, and more recently have been ascribed properties to prevent Alzheimer’s. Now the cancer is added to the list.

Dr. Sharon McKenna and his team studied the behavior of cancer cells to the actions of cur cumin, noting that once it went into action the cells affected by the disease were eliminated themselves, and the immune system began to kill remaining.

Published in the latest edition of the British Journal of Cancer, the findings could help in investigating possible medical cures for cancer in this new horizon opened by the curry.

You know, with the spicy curry and not just add flavor to your food, but also a shield against cancer and a few diseases.

While it is clear that the theme this year is “Cancer can also be prevented, it would be interesting to inform the reader about how to prevent this disease.

And is that although this disease is a major cause of global mortality, cancer can be prevented.

But how can it be prevented? 40% of cancers are potentially preventable, says the website of the Global Campaign World Cancer Campaign, organized by the International Union Against Cancer, which provides a series of recommendations to be less exposed to the emergence of this disease.

According to the web, UICC explains that the risk of developing cancer may be significantly reduced through simple measures (which have also been published by the World Health Organization in its official website).

These recommendations are: 1) Stop the use of snuff and avoid exposure to secondhand smoke (remember that smoking is the single biggest killer, according to WHO), 2) Moderate alcohol consumption, 3) Avoid exposure Excessive sun; 4) Maintain a healthy weight through healthy diet and regular exercise, and 5) protect against cancer infections.

It is important to add is already known about which topics will focus the 2011 edition of World Cancer Day. Next year will seek to teach children and adolescents to avoid exposure to UV rays.
