Definition of erectile dysfunction
The erectile dysfunction, also called erectile dysfunction more scientifically or in a language more popular impotence mean as its name indicates erection problems in men.
Indeed after sensory stimulation (sight, smell, …) and in a context that can lead to sexual arousal, the penis fills with blood. This is called an erection. Achieve and maintain (term time) an erection during sex can sometimes be faulty, hence the term erectile dysfunction or erectile dysfunction.

Causes of erectile dysfunction

* Hormonal problems (concentration of testosterone, thyroid problems, …)

* Abuse of toxic substances such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee (high dose)

* Neurological disorders
* Age in general
* Side effects of some medications: antidepressants (fluoxetine ,…), anti-hypertensives, beta-blockers, anxiolytics.
