To help you fall asleep, first try the herbal and homeopathic remedies. They have the advantage of being natural and present no risk of addiction.

What products can you help?

- Infusions verbena, orange blossom, chamomile, linden (in small doses, because the lime can be an exciting if you eat too much);

- Plant capsules: valerian, hawthorn, escholizia;

- Homeopathy: Gelsemium, Ignatia, Coffea, Kalium Phosphoricum, acting on anxiety and can help overcome insomnia;

- Sleeping pills have specific indications, and they must be used for a limited time only on prescription.

In sleep disorders, sleeping pills are employed particularly when insomnia is secondary to recent external events (emotional shock, conflict, stress).

The hypnotic treatment should be short (one to three weeks) and, if insomnia persists, it is preferable to move towards a non-drug treatment (sleep hygiene, relaxation, behavior therapy or psychotherapy).

The psychiatric disorders cause sleep very frequent, especially during acute (depression, mania, delirium). These disorders subside with treatment of the disease.

The surgical and medical conditions cause insomnia. These can be persistent, particularly when operations are painful. The treatment of the condition is again preferable to remedies hypnotics.

When changes in work schedules and travel across, hypnotics can induce sleep at the appropriate times.
