Eating oatmeal helps reduce artery inflammation

A group of U.S. experts sponsored by the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) have found new reasons to eat healthy oats on a daily basis.
The nutritionist Mohsen Meydani, lead researcher on the effects of the compounds of oats called “avenantramidas” is also director of the Vascular Biology Laboratory, Jean Meyer Center for Human Nutrition Research on Aging and in previous studies had shown that antioxidants phenolic compounds in oats hinder the ability of blood cells from sticking to the walls of arteries.
But in the process of atherosclerosis is another key chronic inflammation within the artery walls which is a part of ending this disease.
Now Meydani and colleagues have reported new findings that suggest avenantramidas present in oats reduce the production of inflammatory molecules.
“This study showed that some forms of avenantramidas have generated anti-inflammatory properties through inhibition of factors related to the activation of cytokines that promote inflammation.
Cytokines are proteins secreted by cells that have a role in the protection and tissue repair. Some cytokines stimulate inflammation during the body’s response to infection.
Is thought to inhibit inflammation through a healthy intake, medication or key nutrients is beneficial in preventing the progression of atherosclerosis.
I have found that this post and reader comments are rather important to my interests. To my knowledge, this is a good web site to locate posts on issues like natural health. Will anyone here tell me where to find more particular information on this subject, please? Thanks!
